Diamond Media 360 (DM360) is a multi-tiered network that consists of a marketing company, record label (Coalmine Records) and lifestyle webzine (Takin’ Mines). DM360 evolved from the Brooklyn-based indie hip-hop label Coalmine Records as a result of adapting to the changing climate of both the music business and social media boom.
Coalmine Records was established in 2005 by DM360’s founder & C.E.O., Matt Diamond. As a record label, Coalmine Records has amassed an extensive hip-hop catalog and has had the opportunity to work with several iconic as well as up-coming artists, producers and DJs in the hip-hop industry such as Talib Kweli, Big K.R.I.T., Pharaohe Monch, Outasight, Kool G. Rap, Bekay, Large Professor, Emilio Rojas, El Da Sensei, Rah Digga, Sean Price, Dilated Peoples, Brown Bag AllStars, Skyzoo, Alchemist, J.R. Rotem, Mick Boogie, M-Phazes, Illmind, Khyrsis, DJ Babu, Shuko, DJ Revolution and more.
In 2009, Diamond formed the parent company Diamond Music Group (DMG) in effort to permeate into different facets of today’s music industry. Recently re-launched as Diamond Media 360, the urban marketing outfit specializes in label services that include, but is not limited to project consulting, online marketing & pr, digitial distribution, radio promotions and management. Offering it’s clients an Ã la carte menu of services to choose from, DM360 has amassed an array of clients that represent a wide brush stroke of today’s urban music scene such as Mann, Shinobi Ninja, Petey Pablo, Soul Khan, Ced Hughes, Aleesia, Kyle Rapps, DOPEHEAD, Lydia Caesar, Kosha Dillz, Sheefy McFly, Wais P & more.
By 2012, DM360 completes the trifecta of the company’s overhaul with the addition of the online webzine, Takin’ Mines. Takin’ Mines features editorial content from industry journalists and staff writers in addition to interviews, reviews and daily blog-worthy posts that cover the spectrum of the hip-hop populace.
